MALAISE

James 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

1 John 1:8 “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.”

Isaiah 53:6 “all we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

Even when we mean well

this side of glory

still a bit of a smell

in this venue

what is real?

who is sincere?

and can anyone really tell?

words like fragrant aromas

masking white washed tombs decay

typing on keyboards in comas

self entranced by superfluous fluidity of verbage

Using scripture like sanctified deodorant

When the bath has not yet occurred.

that eventually will only pool in swamps

bogged down and stagnant in slow gaseous breakdowns

released as belches of offensive odors

perceived to be repulsive, repugnant, unacceptable

Painfully undeniable…

TRUTHS!

And even while knowing this

We somehow unconsciously discover new ways

to rail against it

Impatience our enemy

Our undoing in tendencies to embrace

The jumping of the guns

Every language spells GOD differently

But that doesn’t stop God

From being God

Nothing or no one can.
